The house at the corner of Church and South at 204 W. South Street was built in the late 1800s. We transformed the original 1200 square foot two bedroom structure into a classic 3000+ square-foot 4-bedroom, 3.5 bath early 20th century style village farmhouse in 2008.

Church and South features an exterior of clapboard and western red cedar shingles, nearly 80 feet of wraparound porch with stained bead board ceiling and six ceiling fans, and a two car attached garage with wood carriage doors. When you walk in the oval windowed front door, on one side is a huge living room with adjacent dining room, French doors out to the porch, gas fireplace, and built-in bookcases galore. On the other side of the entry is a bookcase-lined library. Off the library is a large master suite with two closets and private bath featuring soaking tub, separate shower, and two sinks in a 60" vanity. And immediately ahead of the entry is a sky lit stairway leading to two bedrooms, one of which is huge, that share a jack and Jill bath with soaking tub, separate shower, and two sinks. The larger of the two bedrooms features two closets taking up an entire wall as well as a separate sitting area. The smaller of the two beds has its own closet wall. The hall at the top of the stairs features an enormous hall closet that will swallow almost anything--along with a solid door leading to the apartment bedroom and bath should the owners decide to male that part of their living space instead of renting it to friends or family.

Back downstairs, off of the 27 foot living/dining area is the large eat-in kitchen, lined with white cabinetry, faux tin backsplash, stainless steel gas stove, and breakfast bar. There's also a study area featuring two built-in desks with file drawers, pendent lighting, and tons of recessed lights. There's an elevated breakfast bar with pendent lighting, a side entry hall with large coat closet set up for wireless internet, and back hall with a half bath/laundry off of it as well as interior garage entrance.

Off the breakfast area is a solid core door that can be kept shut or opened to reveal a separate private entry and stairway to the one bedroom apartment above. The apartment features a large living room with coat closet, eating area, strip kitchen with white cabinetry and all electric appliances, and shower bath. There's also a hall leading to two closets and a private bedroom.

Other features of the house include built-in audio system with speakers on the porch, easy clean insulated vinyl windows with simulated true divided light design, three-zone high-efficiency HVAC system, cellulose insulation throughout, copper plumbing throughout, wood picket fence, professionally designed landscaping, sod lawn, concrete driveway and walkways, extensive can lighting, hardwood floors in all main living areas, mosaic tile baths, extensive bead board, woodwork, and molding throughout. It also has new buried water, sewer, gas, phone, cable, and electric services. The apartment is even separated from the house with sound walls and solid core doors.
