“Sweet Lafayette” was a 1906 6 bedroom, 3-bath house with a detached two car garage with separate apartment above it.

This house received a complete interior and exterior makeover. All the asbestos shingles have been removed and replaced with western red cedar. All rot has been cut out and replaced with new wood. The doors have all been replaced with wooden French doors. The back porch is being rebuilt. A new roof section had to be installed on part of the house. The garage was completely restored to match the house with cedar shingles and new carriage doors. The inside of the house has four new baths, a new master bedroom up with two-story ceiling, new kitchen, new woodwork, new systems, and everything was refinished in the entire house and apartment above the garage.

Sweet Lafayette’s interior was the subject of a feature article in the November 2008 issue of At Home in Arkansas Magazine.
